Taipei-based Mandarin tutor with about 20 years of experience teaching students from over 40 nationalities.
My approach to teaching developed entirely through classroom experience, which means I’ve learned firsthand where students actually get stuck, and how to explain things in a way that finally makes sense.
I specialize in creating customized learning paths for students at any level, from absolute beginners to advanced learners looking to build specialized vocabulary.
I do not just teach grammar rules, I also explain the logic behind them, and how Mandarin speakers perceive and describe the world. Once that clicks, the structure follows naturally.
Having spent two years studying in Russia, I also know what it feels like to be on the other side of a language barrier. That experience shapes how I teach.
My background is in Fashion Design, teaching Mandarin was not the plan, but it turned out to be where I belong.
